Falcone


Falcone Piano Co. was established in 1982 by Santi Falcone and imported pianos to sell in his retail stores. In 1985 he opened a piano factory in Haverhill, MA. In 1989 Falcone was purchased by Bernard Greer.

Falcone controlled the names Mason & Hamlin, Knabe, Sohmer and George Steck. Falcone Piano Co. became the Mason & Hamlin Corp. Mason & Hamlin closed down in late 1994. In April 1996 Kirk and Gary Burgett, owners of Music Systems Research bought the assets of the company and announced plans to continue production of Mason & Hamlin, Knabe and Sohmer.

George Steck


George Steck pianos have been instruments of distinction since their 1884 inauguration in New York City. From the earliest days of the company's history, fame and awards have been a tradition.

Honors such as the Gold Medal at Vienna in 1873, the Piano Award at the Philadelphia Centennial in 1876 and the 1893 Chicago Exhibit Award began the heritage of excellence that undergirds today's George Steck Company.

Hobart M. Cable


Hobart M. Cable was established in 1900 in LaPorte, IN and was built in the United States for over 65 years. The "Cable" name, and more significantly, Hobart M. Cable has always been recognized as an American standard and an American favorite name brand.

Welkin Sound Inc. has been meticulous and diligent to again make available to North America an instrument that perpetuates this heritage.

Schumann


The Schumann Piano Company was established in 1847 in Illinois. Their early success and quick growth forced them to move to larger factories in Rockford, Illinois in 1903.
Schumann built a full line of uprights, player pianos and baby grands, and they were quite popular in the early 20th Century. After the Great Depression, Schumann was sold to the Estey Piano Company, then later to Kimball.

Today, the Schumann name is still being produced and sold in the USA exclusively by Welkin Sound Inc.
